A healthcare provider can choose to report on 1 or more of the 7 PQRI Measure Groups
for 30 or more consecutive patients,
only 2 of which must be Medicare Part B
Fee for Service patients. The 2% bonus is retroactive to January 1,
2009.
Alternatively, the healthcare provider can choose to report on
1 or more of the 7 PQRI Measure Groups for 80% of eligible Medicare Part B Fee-for-Service
patients seen between July 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. The PQRI bonus of 2% only
applies to that half-year period.
Or, an eligible healthcare provider can choose to report on 3 or
more individual PQRI Measures for 80% of the eligible Medicare Part B Fee-for-Service
patients seen between July 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. The PQRI bonus of 2% only
applies to that half-year period.
